We Are On Our Way....

Flagstaff to Winslow, AZ
62.6 miles

"Standing on The Corner" in Winslow, AZ

Best of Day:  Our journey on Route 66 has finally begun!
Worst of Day:

  • Kelle's flat tire
  • Lisa lost the screw in her cleat and couldn't get that foot out of her pedal
  • Katie wasn't concerned with the heat until Lisa said her odometer was reading 100 degrees
Question:  How many PhD's does it take to change a flat tire?
(answer - three)

Quote of Day:  "Don't mean to be nosy, but where are you ladies really going?" (gentleman at Rest Area)

  1. Safe and exhilarating travels! Twas fun to get your email. 3 PHDs to change a flat tire very similar to my experience this past Saturday, driving east to west across Michigan on way back to South Haven from Port Huron for state convention of American Association of University Women. You'd think the two of us university women would have thought to fill the tank! So deep in conversation, that basic rule of driving escaped us and we ran out of gas! You won't have that problem. Glad you're getting to do this trip.
